"Rags" was my first "mini" purchased from Susan Sinclair (thanks Susan!), and her devotion to me and her babies (all of them!) is unsurpassed. Rags is the mom or grandma of many who have become relatively well known in the NAS "mini-aussie" world.

DOB December 30, 1994

I acquired Rosie in 1995 when she was 9 weeks old from Marie Duffy in New York. I liked her as she was a small standard Aussie of the older bloodlines which were around when I was breeding the bigger counterparts. I felt that she would provide a quality outcross for my NAS mini- breeding program and she has far exceeded my expectations. She carries the bloodlines of Las Rocosa Ricky Taylor, Las Rocosa Shiloh and goes back to Hartnagle's Fritzie Taylor and Taylors Whiskey. She is an extremely devoted and loving dog and a great ball player. She is agile and athletic exhibiting very nice angulation and movement. Her puppies are well noted for their friendly temperaments and they make great family pets as well as having very correct structure and lots of substance. As she is a small standard aussie, many of her pups are a little larger on the mini aussie scale usually reaching 17-18 " tall with an occasional pup going slightly oversize. She has contributed much to my program especially in the temperament department. I have kept 2 of her daughters, IABCA Champions Patchwork's Sophisticated Lady (Sophie) and Patchwork's Penny For Your Thoughts. I have also 2 of her sons, Ch. Patchwork's Caleb and my youngster Patchwork's Simon.

Rosie currently has a litter born November 4,2003 sired by Destiny's Sidekick In Black aka "Jimmy"

Sophie is definitely a dog with a sense of humor. She is my daughter's constant companion and loves doing "Shamu" the whale impersonations. When she "smiles", the corners of her black lined lips actually curve up on her face. She is a horse show dog "extraordinaire" and is accustomed to spending many weekends a year traipsing off leash through the hallways and elevators of the Holiday Inn in Burbank, CA. She completed her International Championship on August 27th, 2000, with judges comments such as "Very Pretty typey Bitch", "Excellent neck - correct bone", and "Very pretty - Flashy, Great attitude - Very nice level top-line". She is also on her way to her ARBA Championship. Watch for her exquisite 2002 Daughter, Patchwork's She's All That. She will make her show ring debut in 2004.

In Loving Memory

Patchwork's I Love Lucy

May 25, 1997 ~~~~~ March 19, 2003

There's no other way to describe Lucy except that she took after her namesake. She was always enthusiastic about life, knew nothing about dull moments, and was always thinking and coming up with new but innocent things to do. She never met a person who she didn't love regardless of big or child-sized. Her pups are placed in homes throughout the USA where they are doing a variety of activities from conformation showing to flyball and agility. Her son, Ch. Cowtown Rodeo Of Patchwork is doing a nice job of carrying on the "family name" for Nancy Okerman of Cowtown Kennels in Montana.

Lucy, was tragically killed in an unfortunate meeting with a car on March 19, 2003.

This is the picture I will always have in my mind when I think about Lucy. If she was not right with me, she was always "keeping an eye" on whatever I was doing.
I am sure that Lucy is now entertaining God with her famous MGM Lion imitation.

Scattercreek Ellie
DOB July 29, 1997

Wendy is a stocky, sturdy little girl for her size. She has a very devoted and loving personality and is very calm but smart and practical. She is slightly reserved with strangers as the breed standard describes these dogs, but does warm up and becomes very cuddly once she sees that the visitors are her master's "friends". Her puppies have been active and athletic as well as friendly. She passes on her nice bone and very pretty coat, colors, and head.

"Patches" is a medium bone, very correct and athletic dynamo. She has a perfectly level top-line, and moves well from all angles. Her coat colors are clear and strong. She is quick and cat-like in her movement, and at times, seems to have springs in her feet. Though she has the drive and ability to work or play all day, she is very easy to live with, and quite the cuddle bug. She produced 3 litters of pups - 2 sired by Patchwork's Caleb              and 1 sired  by ARBA Champion Carlin's Tazmanian Devil              . From those litters, I have kept her Caleb daughter, Ch. Patchwork's Simply Irresistible. She is also mom to Patchwork's Isaiah, Patchwork's Some Like It Hot and Patchwork's Tasmanian Princess. Patches was been retired in 2002 and is living as a well-loved little princess in the beach area of San Diego.

DOB January 6, 1998

IABCA Ch. Patchwork's Fortune Cookie is every Patchwork Farms visitor's sweetheart. She is "cute as a bug" and cuddly too. She is a full sister to Ch. Patchwork's Elijah, Patchwork's I Love Lucy, Ch. Patchwork's Portrait Of Pollux and Patchwork's Madison (owned by Swagman Kennels) . Even with her smaller stature, Cookie shows lots of herding instinct and drive and practices her skills on all the Patchwork puppy litters at play. She has proven herself to be one of my best producers beginning with a December 2000 litter of pups by Ch. Carlin's Tazmanian Devil              from which I have kept Patchwork's Butterfly Kisses and Patchwork's Blow Your Horn Gabriel. Bred to Caleb, she produced Patchwork's Let Freedom Ring aka "Liberty" and Ch. Patchwork's Rum Raisin Truffle. Bred to Patchwork's Zechariah, I have my up and coming black tri, Patchwork's Bartholomew aka "Bart". As they say, great things do come in small packages!
